Who We Are

Alante Financial is a socially responsible division of Microfinance International Corporation (MFIC) that offers customized services to immigrants, who play a crucial role in the economic development of their home countries but frequently lack access to mainstream financial services. The goal of Alante Financial is to assist clients in their efforts to improve their economic well-being in both the U.S. and in their home countries.

Alante Financial demonstrates successful ways to advance the financial inclusion of unbanked immigrants in an attempt to encourage U.S. financial institutions to join the endeavor.

At the core of Alante Financial, is the “transnational loan” program, which provides immigrants with access to financing in their home country so they can buy or improve a residential property or invest in a business. The end goal of this service is twofold: to strengthen the financial infrastructure so that it can serve the poor in developing countries and to set up a mechanism for immigrant families to access financing for income-generating and asset-building activities in their country of origin. This transnational service model provides tangible benefits for all levels of society.

Furthermore, Alante Financial works with financial institutions in the immigrants’ countries of origin to help serve clients living in the U.S. In addition to transnational loans, Alante Financial offers opportunities for joint-marketing and co-branding to help boost the use of remittances and other services. Alante Financial also offers non-U.S. financial institutions franchising opportunities and support, including legal, operational, and regulatory, so those institutions can directly serve clients in the U.S. without making major investments.
